According to data from CCID Consulting, a China-based consultation company, volume sales of smartphones in China market grew 12.2%  to 2.53 million units in September 08.

Dopod China, ranked at 3 in share of the smartphone with market penetration of 5.2% behind Nokia (70%) and Motorolla (18.9%).

These shows that Dopod is becoming a widely-used smartphone brand in China.
